On-Site Support

For individual customers at home or at work, we offer a range of on-site technical services to install and setup hardware, software and networks, upgrade hardware or software, solve problems and provide other services as needed. Some examples of the kinds of services that we can provide are listed below. Setup and Installation:

  • Setting up a new computer and transferring data from an older one
  • Installing printers or other peripheral devices
  • Setting up a wireless network for multiple computers with Internet and device sharing

Upgrade Examples:

  • Upgrading from dial-up to a high-speed Internet connection
  • Upgrading an older computer with additional memory or a new hard drive
  • Adding USB ports for attaching additional peripheral devices
  • Upgrading Windows or other software to a later version

Maintenance Examples:

  • Installing recent Microsoft updates to prevent security issues and other problems
  • Improving performance by removing excess files and defragmenting the hard drive
  • Removing unnecessary programs that run automatically at startup
  • Cleaning the inside of the computer to improve airflow and avoid future problems

Problem Solving Examples:

  • Removing virus infections or spyware and upgrading protection software
  • Fixing Internet connection problems
  • Solving printing problems
  • Stopping unwanted e-mail
  • Fixing slow computer startup, mysterious freezes and shutdowns

Education

We have knowledge in many software products and extensive teaching experience. Therefore we are able to provide one-on-one, custom training in areas such as advanced Windows features, Email, using the Internet/World Wide Web, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), digital cameras and managing/editing your pictures, and personal finance software (Quicken). Phone and E-Mail Support

Our current and previous customers have the additional benefit of a reasonable amount of additional, complimentary, year-round phone and e-mail support. We will attempt to respond to all calls and e-mail requests within 24 hours and if resolution takes longer than 24 hours, we will provide status updates by telephone or e-mail.
