For residential customers we are now offering a checkup of your personal computer's health, in your home, for only $45.00.  This service will require about one hour and is a great way to find out about any potential problems that could possibly cause your computer to crash, with resulting loss of your personal data, or otherwise seriously affect your computer's performance resulting in user frustration and possibly expensive repairs.

Our service will check the following potential problem areas and will recommend corrective maintenance or upgrades where needed:

Hard Disk

• Scan for bad sectors or other errors
• Determine whether unneeded files can be removed to recover free space
• Analyze the file structure for fragmentation which can cause slow performance

System Memory

• Check the amount of system memory available
• Check the size of the Windows paging file

Operating System

• Check the Windows maintenance level to determine if software updates are needed
• Check for any unnecessary programs that startup with Windows

Viruses and Other Malware

• Determine if any unnecessary and possibly harmful software is installed
• Determine the status of your anti-virus and anti-spyware protection
• Perform a scan for viruses, if there are signs of infection

Environment

• Check your computer's ventilation system for dust or other problems
• Check your physical installation, including power protection

Internet

• Check your internet connection speed (broadband connections only)
