Orchid Technical Services is owned and operated by William E. (Bill) Weems, who has 32 years of experience in corporate information systems and has been working with personal computers for 23 years. Bill is retired from Fidelity Investments where he was most recently responsible for development of personal computer software for investing. He is a resident of the Town of Orchid in Indian River County, Florida.

Bill has received the A+ Certification from CompTIA. To receive this, he passed two comprehensive examinations, the first covering hardware, software, security, and networking fundamentals, and the second covering the practical application of the concepts, including providing quality service to customers.

Bill was an instructor in various computer topics at several times during his career and enjoys working with new personal computer users to help them become more comfortable and proficient with their systems. He has found that many new users prefer learning on their own computer in a private setting, rather than in a classroom.

In addition to personal computer instruction, Orchid Technical Services also offers seasonal (November-May) on-site technical service and support, and year-round support by phone and e-mail.  Phone and e-mail support are complimentary for our existing customers. 

Beginning in 2006, we also now provide several services for business customers, including training, installations, maintenance, Web Site design, and custom solutions for small offices.
